Carl's Steaks keeps on truckin'

After more than a decade in Murray Hill, Carl's Steaks closed this spring at 507 Third Avenue between 34th and 35th streets --  but the eatery is back in business as a member of the city's growing mobile food truck brigade. And, of course!, its popular Philly cheesesteaks are still on the menu. We're told the Carl's Steaks food truck launched May 29 and serves customers all around town, with locations announced on Twitter.
We spotted the food truck in Carl's Steaks old neighborhood June 8.
Former home of Carl's Steaks "for rent" at 507 Third Avenue, next
to newly opened California-import Fatburger at 509 Third Avenue
where Patsy's pizzeria used to be.
